Recreational CHEERLEADING
Recreational cheerleading is for both beginner and experienced cheerleaders in Kindergarten through 6th grade who reside in the Westfield Washington School district or attend school in the Westfield Washington school system.
Westfield Youth Cheer is focused on team sideline cheer. Each team will learn and develop essential cheer skills such as motions, cheers and chants, jumps and entry-level stunts (2nd grade and above). All teams are grouped by grade and school - we cannot accept specific team requests.
Both a Head and Assistant Coach are required to complete a cheer team. If you are interested in volunteering to coach, please register yourself when registering your athlete.
Cheerleading is a co-ed sport - boys and girls are eligible to participate.
Football - Fall
WYSI recreational football cheerleaders cheer for the recreational WYSI football program. Teams will be announced prior to our clinic on August 1. Parent volunteers are needed to coach squads. Uniform, bow, and poms are included in the registration fee.
Basketball - Winter
WYSI recreational basketball cheerleaders cheer for the recreational WYSI basketball program. Parent volunteers are needed to coach squads. Uniform, socks, bow and poms are included in the registration fee.

- 1st-6th grade squads will be announced in mid-October and the first games are scheduled for early November. The season will conclude in late January.
- K squads will be announced in mid January and the first games are scheduled for early February. The season will conclude in late March.

- Squads will be capped at 10 participants and a wait list will be used until there is volunteer support to add additional squads.
