Recreational GIRLS BASKETBALL
Westfield Youth Sports typically offers three youth basketball leagues in the girls division, however WYSI will monitor registration numbers in 2026-27 to provide the best experience possible for the players.
Last year, First and Second Grade athletes were combined, Third and Fourth Graders played together, and finally Fifth and Sixth Graders formed the oldest grade group. Please register your child for their appropriate grade level and if we have enough participants, we may adjust the league so that we do not have to combine grade levels.

LEAGUE DESCRIPTION
1st-2nd Grade Girls Rec Basketball
An emphasis is placed on introducing girls to basic fundamentals of basketball in a fun and non-competitive setting. The season starts in January and ends in March. The teams will practice one night per week and have one game per week on Saturday.
3rd–6th Grade Girls Rec Basketball
An emphasis is placed on developing and improving basketball skills in a more competitive atmosphere. The season starts in January and ends with a tournament in March. The teams will practice one weeknight per week and have one game per week on Saturday.

WYSI Code of Conduct
All Westfield Youth Sports athletes, coaches, parents, guardians and spectators agree to the Code of Conduct upon registration or attending a Westfield Youth Sports event.

*If the league limit is reached, players will be placed on a wait list and will be notified if a spot opens up (payment will only be collected after moving from the wait list to the roster)
