Recreational BOYS BASKETBALL
Westfield Youth Sports offers five youth basketball leagues in the boys division. First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade and finally the Fifth and Sixth Grade age groups are combined. League descriptions, grade-specific rules, registration information, and important dates are all available below.

League Descriptions
1st Grade boys Recreational
1st Grade Boys Recreational: Emphasis is placed on introducing the boys to basic fundamentals of the game in a fun and non-competitive setting. The teams will practice one weeknight per week and have one game per week on Saturday. The ten-week season begins in late October or early November and ends in January.
2nd Grade Boys Recreational
2nd Grade Boys Recreational: Emphasis is placed on developing and improving basketball skills in a more competitive atmosphere. The season starts in October and ends in January. The teams will practice one weeknight per week and have one game per week on Saturday.
3rd – 6th Grade Boys Recreational
3rd - 6th Grade Boys Recreational: This is an in-house recreational league for boys in grades 3-6. Emphasis is placed on developing and improving basketball skills in a more competitive atmosphere. The season starts in October and ends with a tournament in January/February. The teams will practice one or two weeknights per week and have one game per week on Saturday.

WYSI Code of Conduct
All Westfield Youth Sports athletes, coaches, parents, guardians and spectators agree to the Code of Conduct upon registration or attending a Westfield Youth Sports event.

*If the league limit is reached, players will be placed on a wait list and will be notified if a spot opens up (payment will only be collected after moving from the wait list to the roster)
