Recreational BOYS BASKETBALL
Westfield Youth Sports has five youth basketball leagues available in the boys division. First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade and finally Fifth and Sixth Grades are combined. League descriptions, timelines, practice and game expectations, and grade-specific rules are all available below. League Descriptions
1st Grade boys Recreational
1st Grade Boys Recreational: Emphasis is placed on introducing the boys to basic fundamentals of the game in a fun and non-competitive setting. The teams will practice one weeknight per week and have one game per week on Saturday. The ten-week season begins in late October or early November and ends in January.
2nd Grade Boys Recreational
2nd Grade Boys Recreational: Emphasis is placed on developing and improving basketball skills in a more competitive atmosphere. The season starts in October and ends in January. The teams will practice one weeknight per week and have one game per week on Saturday.
3rd – 6th Grade Boys Recreational
3rd - 6th Grade Boys Recreational: This is an in-house recreational league for boys in grades 3-6. Emphasis is placed on developing and improving basketball skills in a more competitive atmosphere. The season starts in October and ends with a tournament in January/February. The teams will practice one or two weeknights per week and have one game per week on Saturday.

Registration Opens: Friday, August 15
Early Bird Registration Deadline: September 21 11:59 pm
Registration Deadline: October 5 11:59pm
- Register on or before the Early Bird deadline and receive a $20 discount (the discount will be applied at the end of the registration process)
- Once the league limit has been reached players will be placed on the Wait List and will be notified when a spot opens up (payment will only be collected after moving from the wait list to the roster)
