Rocks Travel Softball evaluations will take place at the Monon Trail Softball Complex this year in mid-July. Most evaluations will begin at 5:30 PM and end at 7:30 PM. Please review the information below to confirm the date for each age group. Registration is required for evaluations.
12U Evaluations
July 13 from 5:30-7:30 PM – Register Now

13/14U Evaluations
July 14 from 7:30-9:00 PM – Register Now
11U Evaluations
July 15 from 5:30-7:30 PM – Register Now
WYSI understands that scheduling conflicts may occur. If your player is unable to attend, please email our softball commissioner. Private evaluations are not guaranteed but may be possible.
This is a reminder that every athlete must register for evaluations. Please have athletes wear softball pants, cleats (or turf shoes), and an athletic-fit shirt. We ask that you do refrain from wearing past travel team jerseys to evaluations.
For equipment, please bring your glove, bat, helmet, fielding mask, and catcher’s gear if you have it. Athletes are also encouraged to bring a water bottle!
Players will be evaluated on running, fielding groundballs, fielding pop-flys, hitting, pitching and catching.

Rocks Travel Softball is intended to offer qualified players a higher level of softball competition. Our teams focus on development over winning but still have goals of competing alongside other high-level teams in travel tournaments across the state of Indiana. We are committed to helping athletes grow on and off the field through strong coaching, fundamental training, and a positive team culture built on teamwork, respect and encouragement.
Creating Teams
July evaluations will allow WYSI to create teams for the upcoming 2026-27 season. All players interested in being evaluated should register for the correct age group. Ages are based on the player’s age on September 1, 2026.
Coaches Needed!
For new teams to exist, we must first have the right leadership in place. WYSI is looking for coaches, organizers, mentors, leaders, and team builders. Please email travelsoftball@westfieldyouthsports.org to learn more about these opportunities.
